Ever since becoming a parent I have had moments where I wish I had known certain things before becoming a parent. Not that it would have changed my decision to have kids. I never ever would’ve changed that decision. My life wouldn’t be complete without my babies. I do think that things would’ve been a lot different if I had some sort of warning, or even if I’d had access to a site like Best For Parents so that I could read some of the advice they have to offer. But you can’t know everything right and if you did you probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy some of the great surprises. I thought that I would share a list of 10 things that I wish I had known before becoming a parent.
- There is no way to 100% prepared for a child. Anything can happen.
- They are born with minds of their own from the minute they enter the world.
- The teenagers are much rougher than when they were babies. Well for me it is because they are getting closer and closer to the adult world and you have to begin to let go.
- Kids absolutely hate chores.
- You are always wrong.
- You become uncool around the age of 10. Well I did.
- They forget everything.
- They also have selective hearing.
- You will find yourself repeating things often.
- Raising kids aren’t easy.
This is just some of the things that I have learned. I am sure I am going to learn more. Is there anything that you wish you knew before you had kids?

Uncool at 10? Shoot…that means I only have a little over a year left!
