This weekend was so much fun! I have absolutely no complaints. There was bike riding, Father’s Day, and we tried a new restaurant. I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
On Saturday we started the day off like we always do with a bike ride. We started off from Avondale station. We stopped at a bike shop called Outback Bikes to get The Husband a bike bag. He had been wanting one for awhile. We found one that fit his bike perfectly. After getting the bike bag we headed to Pedego bikes. That’s where we our bikes from. Along the way we stopped at Bell Street Burritos to get something to eat. The Husband had a burrito and I had some nachos. Then we got back on our bikes and headed to Pedego. We had reached our 100 mile goal on our current bikes so we wanted to pick up our pins, get our free tune up, and check out some suspension they have in stock. We opted not to get the suspension seats. After we left the bike shop we rode around some more before heading home. In total that day we rode 31 miles. Even I was shocked. Later on Tyler and I went grocery shopping and then we were in for the night. I spent most of the evening working on a 10 hour training course for my job. Nope I’m not finished yet but I’m almost there. The goal is to get it done tomorrow.
As you know this weekend was Father’s Day so Sunday was mainly about The Husband. We started our day off with raining some gifts down on him. I got him an outfit, some socks, and some candles. He seemed to really like them. The kids got him some great things as well. After that we headed to a local restaurant that I read was closing down. It’s called The Little Farmhouse Cafe. We got there early. It’s a good thing that we did. We were second in line but there was a pretty long line before Are got inside. I kept it simple and got their Farmer’s Breakfast. Just the usual grits, egg, chicken sausage, and some breakfast potatoes. The Husband and Nishe’ got the same thing but they added a pancake. Tyler got their Brunch Burger. The food was really good and the staff was great. I’m sad I won’t be able to go back. They are going in a different direction with the business. They are going to focus on catering and private events. After running an errand we went home and chilled the rest of the day. I did fit in a Trap Cardio workout. I actually finished. A little secret though I probably wouldn’t have if The Husband wasn’t there. I felt great about that. Then I was able to do some reading and fit in a game of monopoly with the kids.
I love everything that we did this weekend. I’m looking forward to next weekend to see what we get into. I had an absolute blast. I hope your weekend went well too.
