Over the years it has taken me awhile to figure out when I just need to focus on myself. Sometimes I don’t realize it until I am extremely overwhelmed. I realize that if I were to focus on me more often I wouldn’t have to wait that long to say hey and I need some time for myself. It’s the same way when it’s time for me to get something just for me. I just don’t realize it. Sometimes you are so focus on just surviving the day that you forget it’s okay to bring yourself a little happiness.
Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to determine if you need to focus on yourself?
- What was the last thing you bought for yourself?
- What was the last thing you did just because you wanted to?
- When were you at your happiest?
- Make a list of everything you have done for yourself in the past month or past 2 months.
If you can’t answer any of these questions then it is time for you to focus on you. Even if you can answer it and it has been awhile then it is time for yourself. I can tell you until recently I couldn’t answer any of these questions. When was the last time you did something just for you?
