I received free tickets to attend this event. All opinions are my own.
This past Saturday Tyler & I were able to have our first Mystery Dinner experience. I was invited to this event by The Murder Mystery Co. When I got the invite I was so excited cause I have always wanted to attend a mystery dinner. I have seen them on television and thought that they were pretty cool. What made being invited to this dinner even more special was the fact that it was Tyler’s birthday. He and I both have a love for mysteries so this made for a great mother and son outing. Although I was unsure if he would enjoy this experience.
We arrived at the event a little early. That was okay though. We got a chance to take some pictures with some of the cast members and they introduced themselves. They were all in character from the beginning to the end. They were all great. Two of my favorites was Ms. Direction and Terry Bull. They took our mugshots and everything. The show was very interactive for everyone. Tyler was smiling and interacting with everyone from the time we entered the door. I was really surprised. I think he got more and more comfortable as he got into the game. He loved talking to the people before then.
The name of this mystery dinner was Noir She Is. The mystery dinner was held at this restaurant called The Greater Good Barbecue. The food was pretty good. The highlight of our night was the show though. We had to figure out who killed land developer Drew Blood after he proposed to the love of his life singer Ms. Direction. Some of the people who attended the dinner were asked to be apart of the show. I thought this was great. They were given notebooks that let them know the background of the character that they were playing. One of my team members was chosen as a cast member. She played Marie Annette. The names of the characters were hilarious. We had Ma Bull, Mack A. Roney, Red Bull, Detective Peter Ness (P. Ness for short), Dr. Mel Practice, Sharon Gawsup, and a lot more. There were breaks in the show where we were able to interrogate the suspects and bribe them. The entire show had us cracking up. Especially Detective Peter Ness. Everyone kept telling him he looked familiar. Tyler wound up being one of the people to solve the case. He told me that he had so much fun and that he wants to go to another one. This is a highly recommended experience. The whole family will love it.
