Lately I have been using affirmations to motivate me to stay focus on my goals. They really do help. It helps me to stay positive and remember my goals. I am trying to be more positive in life in general. I no longer want to just sit and worry about everything. If anything does happen negatively I want to learn from it and move forward. I have decided that I just don’t have time to sit and wallow in disappointment. I want to focus on the things that I am working on.
Affirmations are positive statements or actions that you make to stay motivated or goal oriented. You can make your own or use pre-written ones. An example of an affirmation is: I am a success. It doesn’t have to be too specific. Just something that will help you stay motivated, focused, or feel good about yourself. Doing an affirmation every day can really change your day or your life. Even if you choose one affirmation to say to yourself every day.
Sometimes I make up my own affirmations and other times I tend to listen to affirmation music or similar videos that speak to me online. I am trying to speak my hopes and dreams into existence while working on them at the same time. I find that affirmations give me the motivation I need to move forward and keep working hard towards my goals.
Since putting these affirmations in action I have really started to see a difference in the way I do things. Sometimes I say them to myself when things are getting tough or remind myself of what I am trying to do. Cause lets be honest sometimes we all need a little pick me up on occasion or a reminder of what we are trying to do. Doing this has done other things for me as well.
- I am more calm and motivated.
- It relieves so much stress.
- It keeps me focused and goal oriented.
It is really beginning to work. I have found myself getting more done than I usually do. I am doing things differently. Things that I normally would put off I am now reminding myself that I have a goal that I am trying to get to and can’t put it off. Proving to myself that I can do what I set out to do is definitely what I need to do. It has snapped my thought process into seeing the positives of everything that I am doing. I even bounce back a little bit quicker from my fails and any other negative things that happen.
I highly recommend trying affirmations for at least two weeks and see how it changes your life. You might just keep going.
