I was not asked to review this book. This review is on my own accord and all opinions are my own.
One of my favorite things to do besides spending time with my family is relaxing with a good book. I have read bad ones but they were still worth taking the time and relaxing. I also like to tell people about a great book. So here I am with a great book to share with you. Arms of a Stranger by Giselle Carmichael tells the story of Simone Ladner and Keithen Knight. Simone has returned from New York to help rebuild her hometown of Biloxi after it was hit by Hurricane Katrina. She is determined to help not only her immediate family but her neighbors get back to a normal life. She has sold her half of her restaurant to help support and is lending a hand by actually rebuilding homes herself. She was not looking for love at all. She had no idea that when a handsome rich stranger climbed on the roof to work beside her that she would meet the man that she would spend the rest of her life with.
Keithen Knight came to Biloxi because he felt his help was needed to help the people rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. Tired of his boring life in California of hanging with snobby rich friends, making money, and being with women because that’s what was expected of him he came to Biloxi for a change. He just knew that he wanted to help. He didn’t know how much his life would change when he came to the town especially after meeting Simone.
There are so many reasons why I like this book. I love how these two met. It wasn’t your typical meet at a party or walking down the street story. I love how they didn’t just jump in the bed with each other and got to know each other. They were supportive of each other. I thought they were the cutest couple. They stuck with each other even when others tried to break them apart.
I think this is a great book. I think most people will enjoy it. It shows how two people with different lives can learn from each other and come together. They can also change each other for the better. I definitely recommend that this be the next book that you read. It is totally worth it.
