Sinful Temptation

The book Sinful Temptation  by Ann Christopher is the story of Antonios Davies and Talia Adams who met one day when Antonios picked up his nephew from an art class that Talia was teaching. From there the two corresponded while Antonios was deployed to Iraq. After expressing his feelings for her in a letter responses from Talia stops. Antonios is left wondering why until he returns back to the states. He hunts Talia down to find out why she stopped writing. He doesn’t know that Talia has a life changing secret that she is keeping from him. Her reason for not writing him will force him to make a decision. Fight or flight.

Talia has feelings for Antonios but she is afraid that once she reveals her secret that he will not want to stick around. When she first started writing Antonios she had a boyfriend Paul that made it easy to lie about her feelings. But once that relationship ended she had no way of protecting herself from falling in love with the handsome soldier. To make matters even more difficult she can’t pass up an opportunity when he commissions her to paint two paintings one for his art gallery and another for his home. Being so close in proximity to him makes things even more difficult. The walls she erected begin to crumble almost immediately.

I must say I thought this was a really sweet story. I like the way that Antonios and Talia met. I thought it was really sweet how the two of them corresponded with each other. I was mad at Talia when she stopped writing Antonios but once I found out why I could understand. Her ex left her for that reason and it would be difficult for someone not to be scarred after that. I know that I would be. But I think that she should have been upfront with Antonios rather than just stop writing. Antonios has a few problems of his own such as PTSD from when he was in Iraq. I love how he schemed to get Talia to be around him. But when the two get together it is a hot love affair. You can tell that they are meant for each other. They help each other through their issues. Their support for each other is what makes them strong. They realize that they are pushing each other away rather than allowing each other to make their own decisions. I really enjoyed reading this story. They were trying to protect each other from themselves and then when they just accept it I think it is great.
