I received free entry to Stone Mountain Park to attend this event. All opinions expressed are my own.
It is time for the most wonderful time of the year. Thanksgiving and Christmas! I feel like the year has just flown by. Am I the only one who feels that way? With both Thanksgiving and Christmas being practically around the corner I am sure that everyone will be looking for some activities to celebrate the seasons. I have just the event for you. Recently my kids and I attended Stone Mountain Christmas. When I tell you this is so worth the visit I mean it. It is jam pack with things to do for everyone. I don’t think it is possible to fit everything into one visit. I know that we didn’t.
Our night started out with a fantastic meal at Campfire Grill. The food is so delicious here. We had a family style dinner where we were served roast, fried chicken, sausage skillet, cranberry apple salad, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, baked beans, and hand thrown rolls. This isn’t the way the food is usually served but it was served this way for the bloggers and their families who were in attendance. We loved all the food but our favorite part of the meal was their rolls. They were so delicious. I highly recommend giving all the food a try but especially those rolls with the honey spread that they provide. During dinner some of the characters come in and mingle. We got pictures with Rudolph, Mrs. ClausTh, and the Gingerbread Man.
After dinner it was time for the fun to begin. Even though my kids are teenagers they enjoy the parade that starts off the fun of Stone Mountain Christmas. It is so fun and entertaining. You get to see all the people from the shows and the characters. It’s basically a sneak preview to who you are going to see. We had so much fun watching the people sing and dance to their designated areas. My teenagers were so excited. Especially when as the final float went by there were bubbles blown. All the kids were in the street trying to pop bubbles.
We loved all the shows we got to see. There were a few we didn’t get to see that we wanted to see. We may go back to get them see. We caught the Ice Age 4d movie Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas. This movie is so cute and great for all ages. Then we watched the performance of a Christmas Carol. We laughed all the way through it. The guys are always so entertaining and funny. Afterwards we caught the Forever Christmas show. This show is always our favorite. We love how the actors and actresses take us through years of Christmas celebrations and songs. We decorated cookies. Of course we had to stop in and see Santa. Plus we visited Rudolph for one more photo opt.
Other great things you can catch that we didn’t get a chance to are:
- Holly Jolly Cabaret
- Sing-Along Christmas Train With The Gift
- Snow Angel Experience: A Wish for Snow
- Mistletales
- Frosted Fairytales
- Meet & Greet With Mrs, Claus
- The Littlest Christmas Tree
- Rudolph’s Meet & Greet
- Snow Angel Snowfall and Fireworks Finale
