Life has gotten really busy in my home. My husband and I are working, my son is in school, and my daughter is away at college. We don’t get much family bonding time during the week, so we really enjoy spending time together on the weekend. On the weekends we will do some things that allow us to bond as a family. Sometimes that’s taking walks, going for a ride, or just hanging out together. One of our favorite things to do is to have a family movie night.

Movie night is one of our favorite things to do because we get to enjoy time with each other without spending much money and we don’t have to leave the house. So that means no dressing up, spending gas, making sure we get to the theater on time, or spending a bunch of money on snacks. We get to be in our home uninterrupted and enjoy a movie. Also that means we can talk during the movie if we choose to as well. I also love the ability to rewind a movie if we miss a favorite part and pause if we have to use the restroom. For our movie nights we all come in mine and my husband’s room and sit on the bed and watch our movies.
Now for us to have a perfect movie night there are a few things that we need:
- A night where everyone is free. We chose Saturday night. No one had any plans so we decided this was as great a night as any.
- We need great snacks. For this movie night I decided on some nachos. The Husband and Tyler decided on some popcorn.
- You need a great movie. We chose Goosebumps 2 .
La La Land Mommy: Family Movie Night With Goosebumps 2 Goosebumps 2 is the sequel to the first Goosebumps movie. This time we are following the story of two friends Sonny and Sam. They start a junk
business. They are asked to clean out the former home of R.L. Stine. While cleaning out the home they come across one of R.L. Stine’s books. Being curious they open the book and unintentionally free Slappy the possessed ventriloquist dummy. By releasing Slappy they take the evening to a whole new level. Their night turns into an adventure of catching the dummy and all the other creatures they released and returning them to the pages of the R.L. Stine book.We really enjoyed the movie. It was really funny. We had so many favorite parts. However our most favorite part was the gummy bear scene. I had heard so much about this scene that I was ready to see it. So when that part came up I quickly saw why it was talked about so much. I definitely suggest you head to your closest Walmart so that you can see this scene yourself. I love how the kids joined together to save the day. I especially enjoyed how the bully who was bullying Sonny and Sam got a taste of his own medicine from Slappy. The movie teaches a lesson about family and overcoming fears as well.
If you want to plan a movie night for your family and want Goosebumps 2 to be the featured movie you can pick it up at your nearest Walmart. Family movie nights are a great way and affordable way to bring your family together. You can make a whole night of. Like play some games, do some crafts, or do some baking leading up to the movie. It definitely helps my family reconnect when we have a moment to get together.
