Okay so I’m back to up date you on my fitness journey. I think it is going okay. It could be better though. So let’s start by going over some of my accomplishments.
Accomplishments:
1. I worked out every day last week except twice.
2. I can now walk up to my daughter’s school without feeling like I need to borrow someone’s lung.
3. I can see a slight change to my body. Very slight but hey everything counts right.
4. I lost 2 pounds.
Now it is time to go over where I need improvement and not so great things.
Things I need to work on:
1. I gained 3 pounds. I know, I know. I just said I lost 2 pounds but there is an explanation.
2. The more I workout the hungrier I appear to be.
3. I still have to take a lot of breaks when I do my dvd’s. Hopefully this will change sooner or later. The way I see it when I no longer need as many breaks it is time to challenge myself in a different way.
Major concerns:
One of my major concerns is my appetite. I notice every time I try to change my appetite it is so hard. I just feel like I am hungry all the time. I heard that spinach extract helps curb your appetite but I’ve not given it a go yet. That is why I gained 3 pounds. I find myself always snacking. Snacking isn’t actually a problem. The problem is what I choose to snack on. To be honest I think I need to choose some healthier options to be in the home. This weekend I was eating not so good things. The Husband brought home cake. I love cake. I have had 2 slices since he brought it home. Then my mother-in-law gave us cookies. I haven’t learned to say no to these foods yet. I’ve heard great things about supplements that help you curb your appetite, such as tony horton’s power life and Bio-X4. But, these could be expensive on a regular basis unless you get some kind of discount for buying them. You could look for bio x4 coupon codes to avail discounts on some of these products. I think once I look into using products that assist dieting and get myself into a routine, I will be less tempted to attack the cookie cupboard. However, I think it would be on occasion if these foods weren’t the only things in the house. The only time I don’t remember being as hungry was when I was reviewing the Idealshape Idealshake. You can read that review here. Maybe I should get some more of that. It really was delicious. So my goal is to get more fruits and veggies in this house so that I can be more successful.
So there you have it. Last week my weight was 165 and this week it is 166. Only thing I have accomplished since last week is to gain more weight. Whooopeeee! Let’s hope next week is more successful.

Good progress! Don’t worry so much about the increasing appetite – that means you’re waking up your metabolism. That’s awesome! But yes, you have to be smart about the choices. We’ve eliminated the vast majority of unhealthy stuff in our house. If I don’t have it in the house, I can’t it, right? 🙂 For a healthy snack, try cucumber slices or carrot sticks with natural PB or hummus.

Don’t beat yourself up. Have you tried My Fitness Pal app (or the website)? I love it because it keeps me accountable. I log in everything I eat, down to the smallest thing, even drinks. It makes me realize what snacks can ruin an entire day. The first few days are SO hard, but then I find I get used to it. I allow myself a cheat meal once every weekend so I’m not flying face-first “off the wagon” because I never got to indulge. Anyway, good luck! Keep at it.

Yes. I have myfitnesspal. That app is so helpful. It really keeps me in line when I use it. I find myself thinking do I want to add this to my journal or do an extra workout. Then I make my decision. I’m getting better.
