I’m back with my latest fitness update. I am actually happy to write this one. I still have a lot to work on but I am trying to learn to accept the small victories. I am so hard on myself when things don’t go the way I want them to or the way I think they should. So I am trying to work on not being that way but of course as many of you know that old habits are hard to change. So I’m going to start with the victories first.
Victories:
– I have lost 4 pounds. Yay! I am no longer 166. I’m now 162.
– I am not as hungry as I was before. I guess my body is adjusting to me doing more activity.
– I went to Mcdonald’s (I know this food so isn’t good for me but I like it every once in a while.). I usually refill my cup multiple times. I had one cup of sweet tea and when I went back for a refill I got water instead.
– I for most of the week have been maintaining my calories pretty good. I think I went over even beyond the calories I earned doing exercise maybe 2 times.
Note: I do not eat fast food often. Since I’m home during the week I usually eat at home. I mainly only eat out on the weekends.
Now time for the negatives.
-I didn’t do any workouts besides walking to get my daughter twice last week.
-If I don’t eat breakfast or any meal I find myself snacking more so I have to make sure I eat when I need to.
-Sometimes my laziness causes me to not workout so I have to do better in forcing myself to workout.
I am really excited at my progress. I can’t wait to see what I have to write about next week.

Good for you! I learned the hard way that small victories are the best victories. If you’re always looking to loose 5 pounds in a week, you’re going to get frustrated when you only loose 2. Good job!

They always say slow and steady wins the race. It is a lifestyle change and it does take time. The good thing is you are learning to listen to your body and you are seeing patterns. I need a good swift kick in the butt for workouts too!
