I remember watching Godzilla movies as a kid. Every time a new one came out or what we considered to be new. Godzilla movies have been out for a long time. My brothers and I would park ourselves in front of the television with snacks and watch the movies. I can tell you that I’ve never missed one Godzilla movie that includes the 1998 remake. So when I heard that the latest Godzilla movie was coming out I knew I was going to see it first chance I get. Especially once The Husband expressed his interest in the movie as well.
The 2014 version of Godzilla is about a Husband who is trying to find out what caused his wife’s death in a explosion at a nuclear plant 15 years ago. He doesn’t think it was a nuclear reaction. He convinces his son to come along. They soon discover that there are things that the government is hiding. Due to circumstances beyond his control the son winds up continuing the journey alone. He eventually finds out that there are two creatures that are soaking up nuclear energy and the only thing that can save the world is Godzilla.
When I sat down to watch this movie I had no idea what to expect. If you have seen other Godzilla movies you know he is either going to be the hero or the villain. That is what made me anxious to see the movie I wanted to know what side he was going to be on. I personally like Godzilla better as the villain but he is cool as the hero as well. Either way I knew there was going to be some fighting and Godzilla was going to be awesome. Now there was not much dialogue in this film but that didn’t bother me because it was obvious that this film was about Godzilla and the two creatures that he was fighting. I really enjoyed this movie cause it took me back to all the Godzilla movies that I saw as a kid and as always I thought Godzilla was awesome. The Husband and I were happy. I think Nishe’ was kind of in the middle. Tyler let us know how he felt when he went to sleep 15 minutes into the movie and woke up like 30 minutes before the end. Ha ha ha! I recommend this movie for Godzilla fans and Sci-fi lovers. But it is best for people who have seen other Godzilla movies.
Honestly, this looks like a Father Son movie. I just can’t. But I can see my son enjoying this with his daddy. I have heard good things about it. I am just tired of seeing movies ripping up cities and hurting people. I need some love and laughter in my life.

I can understand that. Sometimes it is nice just to sit down and watch a movie without a lot of violence in it.
