I am so grateful that it’s Friday. I finally have a chance to introduce a new regular blog post that I’m trying out. Now I can’t promise it will be weekly. I am going to try to do at least once or twice a month. I think sometimes we need to take a moment and just be grateful.
A good blogger friend of mine introduced the idea of writing down what you are grateful for. I never thought about that until she said it. It’s so easy to focus on what’s not going right and forget the good that you have around you. So I have been trying out. I thought that it would be great to share a few things that I am grateful for. So let’s get started.
- I am grateful for my husband passing his driving skills down to me. Here is a little known fact. My husband is the one who taught me how to drive. I actually got my license at the age of 20 a month before I had my son. Which is interesting because my mom got hers when she was 7 months pregnant with my oldest brother and she was 20. Those skills came in handy when I had to back out of a tiny full parking lot at work.
- I am grateful to have bosses that have my back. It really is great when you have bosses that stand up for you. My bosses have actually had my back on a number of occasions while dealing with parents at work.
- I am grateful for the warm weather. I am so glad that it has warmed up this week. Last week I enjoyed the snow but I enjoy the warmer weather more.
I am just really beginning to enjoy life a little more each day that I do this. Life just seems a little easier when you find positive things to focus on besides focusing on your problems.

I like this question because it’s something I think about myself. Obviously, the merit of experience cannot be overstated.I assume you would mean road driving skills (rather than track driving or rally driving or anything like that). Improving any of these skills wil also increase your road driving skills, since they will make you more aware of the limitations of your car and of yourself, and will teach you how to control the car in unexpected circumstances (e.g. skids).

That is so true. You never know when those skills will come in handy.
