La La Land Mommy: Hiking Through High Falls State Park
A couple of weekends ago my family and I visited High Falls State Park in Jackson, Georgia. This is the eighth waterfall we have visited. We took my cousin along for the hike. As you know we have been enjoying the outdoors a lot lately. This is not a very high waterfall but it is still a great site to see. When we went it was after it had been raining for a few days. The water was so powerful. It was just amazing. There were many photo opportunities as well. My kids of course enjoyed it all as they always do. They were climbing all over the woods. At one point we even saw a snake. My cousin had never seen a waterfall before and she enjoyed every minute of it. She stepped out of her comfort zone and did the hiking. She even took pictures out on the rocks. I loved that she had so much fun. I always love sharing what my family enjoys with others. It was at to see things through her eyes. She was in awe of the waterfall. Later I found out she told some family members that she had fun.

High Falls State Park has a number of different trails that you can walk and see the falls from different views. They are really fun to walk. I would take a change of clothes or clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. It might have been because of the recent rain but we got a little wet because the waves were so powerful. It is definitely a great place to hike. Parking is $5. Check out some of the great pictures we took.
