Since around November of last year my family and I have become very active. We have been hiking and walking trails. It has become very important to us that we stay on the move. It keeps us healthy. Another thing I have learned while doing this is no matter what the weather is you have to stay hydrated. We either bring bottled water with us or we bring a water container with water in it. Often times after awhile the water can wind up tasting nasty because it gets warm or you may run out of water and have to fill up in a bathroom or restaurant and that water doesn’t taste too good. However you need water so you drink what you have. I hate nasty water. On top of that you don’t really know what you are drinking because water carries bacteria even after it is cleaned.
Despite my dislike for the taste of some water I make sure to have water with me. But about two weeks ago I was asked to try out the Lifestraw cup. This cup comes with a filter inside. In fact it has a 2 stage filtration system. It has a replaceable carbon capsule that reduces bad taste, chlorine, organic chemical matter, and odor for up to 100 liters. This filtration system is suppose to remove up to 99.9% of bacteria from water. This cup is also BPA free.
I had no idea that there were water bottles like this. I mean I never looked for them. When I received my cup I immediately put it to use that weekend when we went for our normal family weekend walk. This cup proved be exactly what I needed. I made sure to fill my cup of with water and ice then I hit the trails. I drank the water. It tasted really good and it was very cooling. I just wish the cup kept the water cold longer. While the water tasted great if it would’ve stayed cold in this Georgia heat it would’ve been even better. The cup did do it’s job by keeping the water tasting great. I really loved the taste of the water. I am glad to have this cup. It has gone on many walks with me. I also like the belt latch that comes with it. It frees my hands while I walk or jog. I will be using this cup for a long time.
Head to the Lifestraw website to get yourself one of these cups. They are $49.95.
