I have been a fan of the Hotel Transylvania movies since the beginning. The movies are always hilarious and have really great messages for both children and adults. My two favorite characters are Dracula and Johnny. So after seeing the first three movies I just knew I had to watch the newest movie of the franchise.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is about Dracula planning to retire and leave the hotel to Mavis and Johnny. Dracula as usual gets cold feet when Johnny finds out. He winds up lying to Johnny about why he won’t be giving him and Mavis the hotel like Johnny thought. He basically told him that because Johnny wasn’t a monster that he couldn’t leave the hotel to him and Mavis. Johnny of course will do anything to make his wife happy tries to find a way to make it so that she can get the hotel. The end result was he turned into a monster. When Dracula finds out what he did he tries to fix the situation and winds up being turned into a human. Now he’s trying to fix everything before Mavis or Ericka finds out. This means he and Johnny are about to go on one heck of an adventure.
I enjoyed this movie. It was really cute. Dracula learned to release control and accept Johnny. Johnny learned that he didn’t have to change to be accepted. I think in the movie they learned a lot about each other. Johnny taught Dracula way more than Dracula taught him. I think Dracula had to become human to understand where Johnny was coming from. Putting themselves in each other’s shoes showed them to connect with each other more. Johnny showed Dracula that the unknown was okay. That if he is always worried and trying to control things that he will miss the good things in life. I think this is a great movie for the entire family. You can find Hotel Transylvania: Transformania exclusively on Prime Video.
