This week has been quite interesting. It started off as a normal week. I did my normal routine of getting up and working out. Then I went to work like normal. Only thing that I really did different was twice this week I did two workouts. I did my treadmill and then I did my new favorite workout called Trap Cardio. You should totally check them out. I came across them on TikTok and was interested enough to find them on Youtube. They had full workout videos so I tried one and was hook. These workouts are so fun. They jump right into the routine. It isn’t like most workouts where they teach you everything step by step. I mean I like those workouts but sometimes you just really want to get to it. Plus I love their choice of music. I have so much fun. I love it.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to do my workouts since Tuesday because I unfortunately fell off my bike. I was riding to work like normal. The street I work on was really busy so I was on the sidewalk. I was trying to ride around someone on the sidewalk and miscalculated the curb that turned out to be a really high sewer grate and fell. The person I was trying to ride around quickly came over and helped me up. To say I was embarrassed was an understatement. I got on my bike and finished my ride to work. I was okay accept a few scrapes and a little soreness. Other than that everything was fine. I am healing. Yesterday I tried to walk on the treadmill. I did an hour to make up for not doing a second workout and wound up paying for it. So today is just a sit down and rest day. Well before I go chasing kids at work.
Speaking of kids. I love working with children. Especially with the fact that you never know what will come out of their mouths. For example a little girl walked up to me this week and was like “Coach Katherine, Did you know that you sound like a rat?” I was absolutely shocked and totally wasn’t expecting it. I couldn’t help but laugh. Cause you know if nothing else kids will be totally honest. It kind of made me feel better because it happened on the day of my accident. It was really hilarious. I actually have said myself I sound like a rat but I only think that when I am on the phone. I didn’t think it was off the phone too.
I had a goal this week to end my day with at least 100 calories. I am super proud to say that I met my goal. I did it. I even did it the one day I had McDonald’s. So it is motivating me to try to do it again next week. So I am super excited to see if I can keep this up. I give myself some leeway on the weekends. I am just happy to know that I can maintain a healthy lifestyle. It became easier as the week on. It also motivated me to watch how much I am eating. I learned some tricks along the way. Like drinking more water so I wasn’t hungry. I really think it is possible for me to continue this. I will update you guys next week.
