For over a year now I have been trying to make it over to this restaurant called Slutty Vegan. I have heard nothing but good things about this restaurant. It’s a vegan restaurant hear in Atlanta. I first heard about it on a popular radio station. I’m going to be honest the name was first thing that attracted me to the place. I like a restaurant with a catchy name. I then went to the business’s Instagram page. When I went to the page I was amazed. The food looked so good. The vegan burgers looked just like real burgers. I couldn’t tell the food wasn’t meat. After reading the raving reviews (Even from friends.) I decided I just had to try the food.
Now I’m not vegan but I occasionally like to take a break from meat. So I have periods where I prefer just vegetables or I will try something vegan. I have tried vegan burgers at home and a few of them just didn’t taste good to me. You can basically taste what they are made of. I don’t like that at all. So I am kind of weary of things like that. I have also tried vegan burgers at other restaurants and thought they were okay.
It took me awhile to get to this restaurant because I heard the lines could be super long due to it’s popularity. I don’t like to wait in line. So I kept putting it off. We finally made it to Slutty Vegan this past week. The Husband suggested we go there as a way to celebrate my birthday which was this past Tuesday. We almost didn’t go because with the recent Covid -19 outbreak the restaurant had shut down for awhile but it opened back up on my birthday. The only problem with that was they were only allowing delivery orders. I was so disappointed. But the next day I received a text message saying that they were doing pick up orders. We decide to take advantage of that. We all piled in the car and headed over. We placed our order online. I got the Sloppy Toppy burger with fries and Tyler and Nishe’ both got One Night Stand burgers with fries. I was super excited to try the food. We had a 10 minute wait. The food was ready in exactly 10 minutes as promised.
Once we got home I warmed up my food a little and dove in. The first bite and every bite after was just amazing. The burger was so juicy and it tasted so good. I had to keep looking at the burger and just couldn’t believe I was eating a vegan burger. But it was really good. It was really filling as well. I couldn’t finish the burger in one sitting. I had to save the rest for dinner the next day. Their fries were delicious as well. It was just a really good meal. Nishe’ and Tyler were pleasantly surprised that what they were eating vegan food as well. They said that they enjoyed the food as well. I really can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu. I promise everything about this restaurant is true. It was so worth the 30 minute drive that I made out there.
I highly recommend going out to Slutty Vegan and giving the food a try. Doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not. It tastes really good and you won’t be disappointed at all. I’m plan on eventually making another trip out and trying a different menu own. By the way thus post is not sponsored. I just like to share great eating places.
