A few weeks ago I applied to throw a Disney Side Party for Disney. I signed up. Then I crossed my fingers and prayed that I would get chosen. I’ve been wanting to throw a party like this for YEARS, and I know my friend I’ve enlisted help from has had her eye on a site like the Neon Mama website for a Disney-themed neon light that everyone can take photos against, which would be so cool! Now I must admit I was almost positive I wouldn’t get chosen to host a party because I knew a lot of fabulous bloggers signed up for it as well. So when I got the email that I was one of the thousands chosen I was pleasantly surprised and beyond happy. I mean really. If I could do backflips I would have done them all over the house. After that, it became a waiting game to when my supplies would arrive. I literally checked my email every day for my shipping information. Thank goodness I signed up to UPS My Choice (best decision I ever made) and saw my shipping information and tracked my package all the way until it came to my door. I highly recommend signing up for this service. It is a total lifesaver. I am embarrassed to say but the day that my supplies arrived I was like a puppy waiting for my master to show up. I was looking out the window every 5 minutes. When I saw the UPS man pull up I was at the door before he even knocked but I let him knock so I didn’t look like a desperate insane lady which believe me wasn’t hard. With composure I accepted the package and calmly closed the door but as soon as I closed the door and saw this:
I shot up my stairs as fast as my legs would carry me to show Tyler and Nishe’ what was in the box since they were home due to the MLK holiday. I ripped the box open carefully which was hard to do since I was so excited and was ready to see the contents. But when I saw all that was inside it was totally worth the wait. Below is some of the contents:
My mind immediately went into party planning mode. I have so many ideas that I don’t know what to do with but I have time to figure it all out. To be honest, I actually have ambitious plans to invite over 100 people! We have a fantastic marquee that we can put up in our backyard, and I have already contacted a few portable toilet hire companies. Besides, if ever you decide to have a party in your backyard, you need to make sure that you have enough amenities and toilet facilities for all of your guests! Especially if you are going to be offering refreshments. I might even order a large Mickey Mouse cake from my local bakery just for this unmissable event! For now though, I’m just ready to party. I’m hoping my Disney party is a blast. I can’t wait to show my Disney Side!!
