Good afternoon. Today I am participating in Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop. She emails us bloggers a list of writing prompts and we choose one to write about. One of the options on the list was to write about something that creeped me out. So I decided to share with you all some thing that happened to me a few weeks ago on my walk up to her school. Trust me it was absolutely creepy. Well at least to me it was.
It is my routine to go pick my daughter up from school every day. This particular day I followed my normal routine and began my walk. So there is this guy that I see ever so often. He is a senior citizen. He walks with a walker and he has a medical condition that leaves him hunched over. So because of these factors he walks slow. Being me when I see him I say hello like I do everyone else. I was walking up the sidewalk and I happened to see him. I continued walking and as I got close enough I stepped down off the sidewalk and said excuse me. The next thing I know he barks out “What? You want some sex?” Now I heard what he said but I wasn’t sure so I turned around and asked him what he said. He said I thought I heard you say “You want some sex.” That was a major side eye moment because I’m trying to figure out how “Excuse me” and “I want some sex” sound alike. I just let him know that, that wasn’t what I said. He apologized and I continued walking but now I avoid him when I can cause that was really awkward.

Yes. It totally freaked me out. I make sure we don’t cross paths. If I can avoid it.
That is creepy for sure. I was walking home from work one time (so about 4 in the afternoon or so) when going up the path on the hill, this guy who was walking down the path stops me and asks” Are you working?”. To put it in context the area we lived in at the time was known as an area where the prostitutes frequented. I simply turned to him and said , not the type of work you are looking for buddy!
So glad we moved!

You mean that’s NOT what you’re thinking about when you see old men with walkers? Oh my gosh I think I would have fallen over dead right there in that moment. That man has got some stuff on his mind right there. 😉

It definitely threw me off. I’m still trying to figure out how is skews me and I want some sex sound alike. To me they sound totally different. Not even the same number of words. I appreciate you stopping by.
