Saturday The Husband and I headed over to The Works. If you haven’t heard of The Works it is a business complex with a mix of businesses inside. I can’t call it a mall because I don’t consider it one. It is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta. We went over there for a date after dropping both kids back off at school. We were in search of a restaurant that The Husband came across on Tiktok. The name of the restaurant is called It’s Baked Baby. From what we saw on Tiktok the food looked so good and decided that now would be a great time to give it a shot. TikTok is great at showing things that people may like or offering them insights into areas that we probably didn’t know about, the platform certainly has opened many people’s eyes to what’s out there. I’m not surprised that users who want to make an impression will follow links like “Buy TikTok followers here” and try and build on their following. We probably would not have even known of this place if it wasn’t for TikTok.
It took us a minute to find It’s Baked Baby but we did find it. Let me tell you a little about It’s Baked Baby before I get into my review. It is a black owned business. The business uses fresh and local ingredients. They have food for everyone. They offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. They are not fast food. Everything is made to order so you have to be patient with them. This is not the place to go when you are in a rush.
We got to It’s Baked Baby when it was just opening. The owner was upfront with us that the food would take time. She was really nice. I ordered the number 3 with a base of french fries. It came with Bechamel, fried jumbo shrimp, I chose to get turkey bacon, broccoli, and homemade sweet & spicy bbq sauce. The husband chose to build his own he had a base of french fries, with blackened chicken, bechamel, and scallions. We were told our food would take twenty minutes so we walked around The Works to see what other businesses were around in the area. We came back in exactly twenty minutes and true to her word the food was ready. We sat down immediately to give our food a try. The first bite of mine and I was instantly satisfied with my choice. It was so good. I was able to taste the cheese and everything. I had plenty of shrimp, cheese, bacon, and broccoli. They didn’t skimp on not one ingredient I tell you. Every fork full I got all the ingredients. It tasted so good. Plus I was really full as well. You certainly get your money’s worth when you visit this restaurant. It was so yummy. The Husband enjoyed his food as well. I already told The Husband I would want to go back to try other items on the menu.
