Mama Kat’s Writing Prompt: Road trip!!

It’s Thursday and you know what that means. Time for another Mama Kat Writing Prompt. This week I chose the prompt if you were going on a road trip this weekend where would you go.

I thought long and hard about this prompt because there are so many places I want to go but I thought about the time constraint and decided that if I went on a sudden road trip that it would be somewhere close by. I’m not even sure I would be happy to on a long road trip, my friend recently went on one and she wished she hadn’t. She said to me the next time they plan a trip that’s far away and they need a car, they’ll just ship their car out there and get a plane to it. Maybe if I had to do a long road trip I would do something similar, but I think I’d be okay if it was somewhere close. But not too close because I need it to feel like I’ve actually gone somewhere different.

So even if I was to go somewhere like Brandon in Oregon, that would be an exciting trip to make. Plus, there would be so much to see and do there. Additionally, I think my family and I would head towards South Carolina. Myrtle Beach to be more specific. We have never been there and since we love beaches I think that that would be one of the best places for us to go. My friend told me that they also went on a road trip to the beach with their family they made sure they had the best booster car seat so their young boys could have a comfy safe drive over. But I digress. We would be able to take in a lot of attractions in a few days if we can tear ourselves from the beach. I looked up some Myrtle Beach attractions and I thought I would share the 5 places I think we would more than likely visit on our trip and why.

1. Kayak Express: When I looked at the site it mentioned taking visitors to see dolphins. We got to do this in Florida and I would love to do this again.

2. Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures: This would be more me than The Husband or the kids. I have been wanting to go zip lining for forever. If I could talk them into it I would so do this.

3. Myrtle Beach Skywheel: I would love to see Myrtle Beach from the top of the Skywheel. I want to ride the Atlanta Skyview as well so that I could compare the two.

4. Myrtle Beach Speedway: This would be something different for us all cause we have never experienced a live race car event.

5. Myrtle Beach: The beach is the whole reason we are there so of course we would spend some time there.

This is exactly where I could see us being if we had a spur of the moment road trip.
