La La Land Mommy: Mom & Daughter Outing To The Blue Man Group
My daughter and I share the month of April for our birthdays. This makes the month of April so much fun. In fact the month of April is pretty busy for us. My mother-in-law’s birthday and mine and The Husband’s wedding anniversary is also in the month of April. I was looking for a way to celebrate this special occasion when one day I checked my email and got the greatest news. We had an opportunity to go and see the Blue Man Group perform live. To add to my excitement opening night was on my birthday. I immediately jumped on this opportunity. I decided that this would be a great mother/daughter outing. Especially since blue is Nishe’s favorite color. I gave her the great news.
I had heard great things about the Blue Man group. I have seen them perform on TV. As everyone knows though seeing a show live is the ultimate experience. Tuesday evening Nishe’ and I headed off to the Fox Theatre to see the show. This was Nishe’s first visit to the Fox. She was so excited. It was only right that we catch this moment.

After we arrived at the Fox Theatre we headed inside to enjoy the Kids On Broadway event they had going on in another room of the theatre. Nishe’ really seemed to enjoy this. She hula-hooped and she watched a science guy change water to different colors. Her favorite was enjoying some blue ice cream as well.

When we got done with that we headed to our seats and waited for the show to start. When it started boy did it start. The show opened with the Blue Man Group playing on the drums. They poured this colored liquid on their drums the color was red and yellow. the colors would splash when ever they hit their drums. They were so hilarious. Their antics on stage kept the whole audience laughing like crazy. Ever so often I would look over and see if Nishe’ was having fun and each time I was never disappointed. Whenever I looked she had the biggest smile on her face or she was laughing. I also loved the crowd interaction of the show. They pulled a lady out of the crowd and got her to eat a Twinkie with them and then they had a guy come out of the crowd and they put him in a suit and made a made painting with his body. My favorite part was the end when they had us all on our feet doing rock concert moments. It was so much fun. Nishe’ said that the entire show was her favorite. We really had a great time. We had some really great seats as well.

Over all the Blue Man Group is a great family outing. Everyone of all ages can enjoy it. The show will be here in Atlanta until Sunday April 12th. I would definitely
