Before I begin this review. I want to thank Kia of the blog Cinco Mom for providing me with these tickets. All opinions are my own. It is a great when a blogger can help another blogger. She is great. I highly recommend checking out her blog.
Disney’s Frozen is in the top 10 of my all time favorite Disney movies. I mean this movie had it all for me. Comedy, love, and life lessons. Tyler and I went and saw the movie on Sunday. He was so thrilled to see it that I was only able to get this one picture. We had 3D glasses from another movie we saw and the theater allowed us to keep them. We thought it would help us avoid the 3D movie fee but it didn’t. In the end it was well worth the extra cost because this was a great movie. We can’t wait for it to come out on DVD and streaming sites. We’ll definitely be watching it so many more times. One of our friends recently purchased a mini projector to project movies on the wall of their home. She said she read the review on Current and decided to purchase one. She seems to love that when watching movies, so maybe we’ll look into that. It’ll be just like going to the cinema to watch it.
Frozen focuses on two sisters name Elsa and Anna. They love each other dearly. Elsa the older sister has a secret that she is keeping from her sister Anna. The secret will eventually be the reason why the sisters are separated for years. The secret is that Elsa has the ability to create ice and snow with her body. She tries her best t conceal this ability but one day while playing with Anna her abilities accidentally cause her to hit Anna with a blast of ice that turns strands of her hair white. This also puts Anna’s life in danger. The only way the Anna and Elsa’s parents who are King and Queen of the kingdom Arendelle can think to save Anna’s life was to get the aid of trolls. Once Anna is saved a decision is made to alter Anna’s memories so that she doesn’t remember the accident and to separate the sisters. This is because Elsa’s powers will become stronger and harder to control as she gets older. The sisters don’t see each other again until after their parents pass away and it is time for Elsa to take her place as queen of the kingdom. All this time Anna is wondering why she isn’t allowed to see her sister.
The day of the coronation Elsa has a hard time dealing with the fact that soon people will be coming to the castle. She hasn’t been around people in a long time and she is worried about her powers being revealed. It is also her first time seeing Anna. Things take a turn when Anna asks for Elsa’s blessing to marry a guy name Hans. When Elsa refuses Anna gets upset which causes ELsa to react. Her reaction causes her powers to come out. Once they are revealed Elsa becomes embarrassed and runs into the North Mountain leaving everything covered in ice and snow. When people of the kingdom want to go after Elsa because they believe she is an evil sorceress Anna volunteers to find her sister and try to convince her to return things back to normal. This thrusts her into an adventure that even she can’t imagine.
Along her journey she will meet a snow man named Olaf who wants nothing more than to experience summer. She will also meet a mountain man named Kristoff and his reindeer named Sven who agree to guide her to the top of North Mountain to find Elsa.
In the end the two sisters are reunited. They realize that they need each other and that no matter what they love each other. Else is thrilled to know that her sister accepts her for who she is and that there is no need for her to hide. Love prevails and saves the day.
This movie has so many great messages and some really funny parts, My favorite character even though I love everyone is Olaf. He gave the movie the comedy relief it needed. I also love how Anna is strong enough to go and save her sister. This movie is definitely one that I see myself seeing multiple times.
