Lately I have had the cooking bug. I’m trying to cook for myself a little more. Since the kids have gone back to school I haven’t really had the urge to be in the kitchen beyond quick meals. I mean things like maybe a sandwich or just meat and vegetables. So I vowed about two weeks ago that I would start cooking more meals for me. A few weeks ago I was asked to review meats from the company Meat District. They sent me some samples of meat. So one of the meals I cooked was with their hamburger patty.
One day I was craving a burger. My goal was to cook a traditional burger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese but it didn’t exactly work out that way, I looked in my fridge and had no lettuce. So I was left with figuring out how I can not have just a boring cheeseburger. So I looked in the freezer and came across some mushrooms and peppers. I freeze my fresh vegetables because I do not always use them quickly. I decided to sauté the tomatoes, mushrooms, and peppers then put them on top of my Angus Brisket hamburger with bacon and barbecue rub with some melted cheese. I also toasted the bun. I think it turned out rather well. For a side I just simply had some chips.
Before I get ahead of myself let me tell you a little about this angus brisket hamburger meat. I used the Angus Brisket hamburger in my cheeseburger. This burger it is cooked with hickory smoked bacon , brown sugar, and molasses. Now back to my burger. I was anxious to give this burger a try because it looked really good to me. I bit into it and I could immediately taste the flavors. The taste of bacon and the sweet taste went really well with the tomatoes, mushrooms, and pepper. Everything went so good together. I liked that you can get the flavor no matter how you choose to cook the hamburger. I put mine in the air fryer. It was really juicy as well. It almost tasted like a fresh burger. You could almost full someone into thinking you made it yourself. It turned out to be a really filling lunch for me. I am really happy with this burger. I can’t wait to try the other products that I was sent and share it with you guys. I can’t wait to see what I come up with next.
