My family and I have been in our home for about 14 years. It has been great living here but as with any home it has a little wear and tear which is why finding suitable Milwaukee residential roofing contractors might be something we have to consider in the coming months. With that in mind, let me tell you about the projects I’ve had on my list for a while.
The Doors
I’ve heard the phrase, “the first impression is the best impression” and the thought can be extended to openable barriers for homes and buildings too. That said, front entry doors can have a significant impact on the interior of the house. These doors can prove crucial, especially during the Christmas season, when everyone decorates their doors with wreaths and other decorations. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find the “door to my dreams” soon before the vacation begins.
Bathrooms:
I would love to re-decorate each of the bathrooms. Just to give them a fresh new look that I think I will be able to achieve with a new, strong concrete flooring. I might just need to look for Milwaukee concrete installation professionals because this is a task I will definitely not be able to pull off on my own. However, with this finished, I can make other small upgrades like a new shower curtain and maybe some fresh new color besides what we have now. Especially the kids’ bathroom. They don’t care one way or another but I still would like to see something fresh.
Paint:
I think the whole house could use a fresh coat of paint. I haven’t decided the color yet or if each room will have it’s own color but again just something new.
Closet:
My closet is high on my list. I want to organize it more and make more room for mine and The Husband’s things. Maybe add some shelves and new rods so that we can have our things more organized. Being that our closet isn’t very big we have to be organized. So this is a great need.
Carpet and Tiling:
Did I mention we have been our home for 14 years? Well it should be no shock that new flooring is in order. Especially since we now have added 3 fur babies in our home. They have reeked some havoc on some of our flooring and then the rest is wear and tear. Plus, an upgrade will make our home more welcoming.
Kitchen:
In the kitchen I think it would be fun to add a backsplash. Plus I am think about some new counters. I would like to switch out the dishwasher which we never use for something else. Seriously in all our time here we have only used the thing maybe ten times. There really isn’t enough dishes for us to use it and it is just easier to wash the dishes that we do use by hand. Plus, that way I also know that they really got clean and sanitized in between uses. I am thinking a trash compactor, if it is at all possible. and it is just easier to wash the dishes that we do use by hand. I am excited to take on some of these projects by myself. I mean I would do it all if I knew how. They are really simple. I don’t see any reason to call anyone in to put a simple closet rod if I can do it myself. I am thinking it would be pretty fun to do as well. We will see how it goes, but I am going to try my best and just have some fun with it! The great thing about these projects is that it will make our home more comfortable and it will also (hopefully) boost the value a bit, as well. Especially when it comes to the floors and the kitchen!
