Last weekend I went to this blogging conference called Blogalicious. I wrote a recap of my experience that you can read here. There were so many great sponsors there to connect with. My favorite sponsor there though was Kia. The people there were very nice. The main reason why this was my favorite booth was because I got to test drive some of their awesome cars. I’d always wanted to try out some of their cars but I never got a chance to until now.
Kia had a number of cars for us to test drive. I tested three the Kia Sportage, Optima, and the Sorento. All these cars were so amazing! I wish I could have taken at least one home with me. But if I had to choose a favorite I would say that it was the Sorento. I am going to explain why. All three of the cars had some things that I loved. For example all the cars had a keyless starter and I like the engine on all of them. You can barely tell that the cars were running. Now let’s talk about the Sorento and why it is my favorite out of the three.
The number one reason why I like the Kia Sorento is because it’s an SUV but it doesn’t feel like I am driving one. I never really have been a fan of SUV’s because of their size. I don’t like huge cars at all. Probably because I have only driven two in my life time and even then I didn’t drive them very far. This SUV isn’t very large at all. Which is one of the things that I don’t like about most SUV’s. I find their size hard to navigate. I didn’t have any difficulties maneuvering in this vehicle at all. I also enjoyed the infinity surround sound system inside it was very nice. Another thing that I like is that the radio is touch screen and that you can control practically everything from the steering wheel. The car also has blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning. I was told this by Kim the very nice lady who rode along with me. I promised her that I wouldn’t test either of them out though. Ha ha ha! This car has so much room in it in both the front and the back. My son is getting pretty tall and he needs all the room that he can get. Plus the car I drove has third row seating. I think this is amazing for when you have extra people riding with you like we sometimes do. The third row seating doesn’t take away from the space in the trunk at all. There is still plenty of room. I’ve noticed in most SUV’s that sometimes you have to sacrifice space for your family for space in the trunk. You don’t have to do that at all in the Kia Sorento. Plus the sunroof is an added bonus. I only drove the car for a short time but in that short of time I discovered that this car would be a great fit for my family and I.
I had such a great experience driving all the cars. I loved how informed that the people who rode with me were. I gained so much information on each car in so little time. I came away with knowing a little more about each one. I want to thank Kia and Blogalicious for making this experience available to me. It was really amazing. I hope to get to drive another one soon.

I’m trying to understand all of the hate for the face on this thing. I saw two of these in the flesh yesterday and thought it looked great. My trouble is: $33 large (as tested) for a Kia. Any Kia. :\
Thanks for the review

I actually like the face. I like the whole car. It really is a great drive. I think the price is a little steep but you get your money worth.
