This weekend The Husband and I decoded to get on the train. Well kind of we did drive the car to the train station. We haven’t rode buses in months. I have come to love doing this. It beats riding in the car. It allows me to pretty much have all of his attention. It just feels like an adventure whenever we do this. I just really enjoy when we park the car. This weekend we ventured to Buckhead to try a new restaurant that The Husband came across called The Peach Cobbler Café.
The Peach Cobbler Café is located at 2221 Peachtree Rd. Before we go any further…this isn’t a paid review. The Husband and I found this restaurant and paid for it on our own. I enjoyed the restaurant so I wanted to share it. The Husband was browsing the internet when he saw that this restaurant had opened. At first we thought all they had was peach cobbler but when we went to the website we found out that it was a soul food restaurant. I already wanted to try it because of the peach cobbler. I wanted to try it even more once I found out it offered more than that. So we made plans to go and visit the restaurant this past Saturday. So we rode the train up to Arts Center Station and then we walked down to the restaurant. The walk was really fun. We just walked and enjoyed each other’s company. The walk was about four miles. We got there about thirty minutes early. The person who opened the restaurant was really nice. The restaurant was really clean. The food looked yummy. I couldn’t wait to dive in. I decided to try my staples mac & cheese, fried chicken, and potato salad. I chose those three things because if you can’t cook mac & cheese or fried chicken then I don’t want anything else. For dessert I got peach cobbler. Who goes to the peach cobbler café and not try the peach cobbler. We didn’t try the food right away though. One it is a dine in restaurant and second we decided to do something else before eating.
After we got our food at the restaurant we decided to go home and get the bikes. The Husband came up with the idea to drive to Piedmont Park and ride around on the bikes so that’s what we did. We rode around the park for about an hour and a half or two. It was really fun and felt good to get on the bike again. Last time we rode was about a month ago. That ride was 4.99 miles. We wanted to work up an appetite for our food. It was a really fun day. Then when we got home we dug into our food. The first thing I went for was the mac & cheese. It was really good. Knowing that the Mac & cheese was delicious I moved on to the next item which was the potato salad. I am really particular about my potato salad. I once went to a restaurant and was served warm potato salad. I was not thrilled. I didn’t have that problem with Peach Cobbler Café. Their potato salad was cold and tasted yummy. I just thought it tasted great. My next item had to try was the chicken. This chicken was more than good it was delicious and juicy. I could taste the seasoning with every bite. My meal was quite satisfying. The peach cobbler was fantastic! I enjoyed every bite. I really hope we can go back again. I absolutely enjoyed the food. It was really worth the trip.

Glad you left this review, because the ones I read are terrible. And I don’t want to make a trip all the way up to Buckhead and get dissatisfied. ??.

The food is horrible, even the peach cobbler was terrible, I had the rib tips, green beans and dressing. I promise you I couldn’t believe that EVERYTHING I GOT WAS Awful, even the corn bread muffin which I believe was jiffy mix. Go there see for your self

First time, wanted to support, took me an hour and some to get there.. The food to me isn’t as good as advertised, Ribs okay and potato salad no better than store bought. Macaroni and cheese also okay but greasy and the corn muffin is jiffy mix.
Dessert are pricey, but non the less I will not go back, also the staff need a little customer service training. A little smile goes along way!!

Go see for yourself, THE FOOD IS GARBAGE. After your visit please post your comment, even the peach cobbler was terrible, I had the rib tips, green beans and dressing. But was awful. The food is expensive but given that this is Buckhead I would expect this to be the case. The caramel cake was dry also

Hello,
First time and I wanted to try this restaurant because of some of the reviews and it’s a black owned establishment. The ribs are okay had better, the macaroni and cheese is very good but a little greasy though. Potatoe salad is no better than a grocery store brand and OH lord the corn bread muffin is JIFFY. Some may like and that’s okay, Best homemade NAH!! Prices are ridiculous for the desserts.
The staff needs training in customer service, the cashier sad!!

I only tried it once. I haven’t been back

This was my first time eating there was so ecstatic to eat there. Went to the new location in Fayetteville. I love to support black business but baaaaaaby the food was to salty….. the chicken salty, dressing salty, Lima beans salty and the price was outrageous I could have went to Big Daddy and pay less than that and get more food. The portions of food they give doesn’t match up with the price. Only thing I like was the peach cobbler. I had to throw it away, I was really disappointed ☹️ I’m sorry to say I have had better.
