One thing I’ve been doing more of this year is planning dates for The Husband and I. For awhile it’s been him planning the dates. So I’ve been trying to do more planning. I’ve done a few things like picked new places for us to eat. But I think what we recently did was more fun.
I’ve been wanting to go paint pottery for years now. I just never really had the nerve to actually make the moves to make it happen. So Thursday of last week I just decided to take the leap and book an appointment for us. I couldn’t wait to go and paint pottery. I’ve seen people do it on television so I really wanted to give it a try.
The name of the place we went to was called All Fired Up. When we walked in the table we were going to sit at had our name on it. We were greeted when we walked in and the person explained to us everything we needed to know. It was really simple. We go to and picked the piece of pottery that we wanted to paint. I chose for both of us. A dog for me and a Z dragon for The Husband. Then there was a paint chart at our table with the number of each color bottle. Then we had to get in line to choose our paints. We were told to put three layers of paint on it so once it was glazed it would come out better. While we painted we were able to just sit and talk with each other. It was a really fun experience for us to have.
It took about five days for us to be able to come back and pick up our pottery. Everything came out really good. I was happy with the end results. I’ve already decided that I want to go back and do it with the kids. I think they will enjoy doing it. But overall the date was really fun. I really enjoyed it.
