Saturday The Husband and I had another opportunity to squeeze in a date.We are definitely doing our best to find more time to just focus on each other nowadays. We are realizing that, that is important thing that can sometimes be overlooked in our relationship. So we are trying to do better at that. Today’s we went to a favorite place of ours Applebee’s.

Applebee’s has been a favorite of ours for awhile. We love their 2 for $20 menu. The 2 for $20 menu at Applebee’s allows 2 people to get an appetizer which can be a salad, spinach artichoke dip, onion rings, boneless wings, or mozzarella sticks and your choice of two entrees. We love that our family of four can go there and eat for under $70. So we frequent a great deal. When we heard that the 2 for $20 menu had been updated we had to go see. So today we went and visited our local Applebee’s. We always have a great visit at the location in Tucker so that’s where we went. We were greeted immediately. Everyone is very nice there. Our waitress came a few minutes later. She was so nice and attentive. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. The Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp is one of the new items Applebee’s as added. You can also now order the Whisky Bacon Burger or the Grilled Chicken Breast with Bacon Beer Cheese Topper. Our waitress Kia explained to me that the bourbon was just a seasoning and that I could either get it with blackened seasoning or just plain. It is topped with shrimp and garlic butter along with sautéed onions and mushroom. You also get a side of crispy potatoes. The Husband got the Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. We chose boneless honey barbecue wings as our appetizer. We waited less than thirty minutes for our food.

Our boneless Honey barbecued wings were yummy as always. This is one of our favorite things to eat. They also gave us chips and salsa. It was hard not to get full before our meal arrived. Everything was so good. When our food arrived I was intrigued to hear my food still sizzling. It let me know that my food was just off the skillet and it would be warm. I dug in almost as soon as it was set in front of me. The meal was so delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The Husband even ate a few bites of my chicken. The garlic butter brought out the flavor of the shrimp and chicken even more. The potatoes were just the right crisp. I really enjoyed.

The Husband enjoyed his Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders as well. He said it tasted really good. He liked the chicken tenders as well. I stole a bite of his and I agree it was really yummy. He got bacon on his Mac & Cheese. You could really taste the bacon and the cheese so it was a good mix.

After enjoying our meal we were then treated to a yummy dessert. We got the Blue Ribbon Brownie. It’s a dark chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge served on top. It was so delicious. It is safe to say that we left full and satisfied.

We had an amazing experience and we will be going back. The new items on the 2 for $20 menu is definitely worth trying. I loved my meal. It was so delicious!
