This past weekend was full of fun. We did so much. I am tired after all we did. But I always look forward to the weekend. This weekend was filled with bike rides, the Atlanta Fair, and trying a new restaurant. So let’s get started.
The weekend started off with us trying a new restaurant called Farmed. We were planning on going on a bike Saturday but we had our days mixed up. The ride was actually Sunday instead of Saturday. So this left our Saturday open. We decided to find a place to eat some breakfast. So I looked up some places on Google and came across a place called Farmed. I decided it would be to go and try the food here. So that’s where we went. Farmed is located in Tucker. The address is 1927 Lakeside Parkway. I didn’t even know this was here. The business is black owned. I love the ambiance of the place. It was really inviting. It is so nice inside. We were seated by the owner. I chose to have the low country breakfast platter and The Husband had the chicken and waffles platter. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. Which was not horrible. One thing I didn’t like was that they only had two servers to serve. But they were both really attentive to us and the other customers. The food was really good, I totally enjoyed my god especially their jam. The Husband liked the food as well. He wasn’t a fan of their ginger-maple syrup. He did like the fact that the staff brought him regular syrup after he tried it. Such gestures are always appreciated from a restaurant’s side. Maybe the management might have hired a restaurant consulting group that could be advising them on techniques for growing business by satisfying customers. We really enjoyed the food. After we ate at the restaurant we went grocery shopping and then I headed to the Atlanta Fair with my brother. I wrote a full post on that. You can check it out here.
On Sunday we met with our Pedego bike group for our once a month group bike ride. This time we met up at Arabia Mountain state park. We have ridden over here before. I really enjoy this park. The one difference between this ride and the last time we were over here was that The Husband and I were leading the ride. I think more so The Husband than I. The person who usually leads the rides had a family emergency. This day we rode a total of about 9 miles. We didn’t take the route we did before. Arabia Mountain has so many different trails that it is possible to take a different way each time. This time instead of riding to the lake we rode toward the route where we see the actual mountain. The Husband and I have taken this way before. But it was pretty cool to take the group this way. It turned out to be so much fun. We all had a really great time. Can’t wait to see where we wind up riding next month.
This weekend was so much fun. I am excited for the next weekend. Especially since next week is my birthday. I will be a whole nother year old. I am actually excited to make it another year. I feel so great right now.
