This weekend Tyler, Nishe’ The Husband, and I headed to the new Sandy Springs Star and Strikes. We went there for a blogger event. I was so excited to go because we passed the location a few months ago and I always wondered what it looked like inside. We usually go to the Stars and Strikes closer to my home and we love it so I definitely wanted to check out the new location. It also gave me a chance to meet some new Skilled Bowlers who also blogged and I enjoyed mingling with the ones that I already knew. It was lovely to see lots of different age groups and abilities coming together and taking part in an event we all had an interest in. I was really impressed by the venue and the atmosphere of the place, enhanced by the enthusiasm of everyone, helped create an amazing experience I will never forget.
When you first walk in you are greeted by the staff. I must say it is quite big. Everything from the arcade to the bowling alleys immediately catch your eye. We were all in the V.I.P room. It was really nice inside. There was comfortable seating and the staff were very nice. The V.I.P area also has TVs both on the score board and over the bowling pins. They also play great music. They accommodate the bloggers with small children as quickly as they could. I really liked this because I have little nieces and nephews that we hang out with sometimes and it is nice to know that the staff are very helpful. The food that they served was really good. I think my kids favorite food was the pizza. Mine was the chicken tenders and I liked their French fries. The bowling was so much fun. If you want to get into bowling more and take part in it yourself and see what bowling balls would be best for you, click here for info on how you can do that, it’s a great time for all the family! We are totally competitive and it was fun to play. I even played with fellow blogger owner of the blog Mommy Talk Show Joyce Brewer’s son. He is 3. He was so excited to bowl and then he cracked us all up when he bowled one time, hit a strike (I believe), and then was done playing. Then we lost Nishe’ have way through the game she wanted to play arcade so she and The Husband went off to do that. That left Tyler and I. We completed the game. I can’t remember who won I believe it was him and then we went to play laser tag. Here is some video of Nishe’ and Tyler bowling:
Unfortunately we were too late to play laser tag. By the time we got there it was already filled so we waited until the next round. While we were waiting we went and played games in the arcade. The kids loved this area. There were so many games to choose from. I think their favorite was a Batman game that was there. Cause they played on that game for the longest. I played a few games myself. I love the games where you can win tickets because I love to get prizes. Here are the games I played. I had a great time doing this. I took a picture of my favorites. I definitely recommend playing these:
I think the highlight of the entire outing was when we went and played laser tag. This was my entire families first time playing. Fellow blogger Demetra who is owner of the blog Sweet Savant and her family challenged everyone. It was so much fun. We had a blast. Some how Demetra and her family wound up winning. I hope she knows I want a rematch. I definitely see us playing laser tag again in the future. I can add this place to one of the places where I had so much fun.
All in all we had a fabulous time and I think we will be going back again. We all had a great time.
I attended a free blogger event. However all opinions are my own.
