Self Love Monday: Finally Went Thrifting

It’s time for a new week. We all know the most dreaded day of the week is Monday. That isn’t the case for me anymore. I actually look forward to Mondays now. Because I have named them Self Love Monday on the blog. Just a reminder Self Love Monday is when I pat myself on the back for my accomplishments the week before. This week’s Self Love Monday was actually about a month ago. I had been wanting to go thrifting for awhile. I have blogger friends and friends in real life who have found great clothes in the thrift store. After seeing the great things they have come across and the money they saved I decided that I wanted to give it a try. Last month The Husband, kids, and I were walking around a plaza near our home. As we were walking by I happened to see a Plato’s . I got so excited. You would’ve thought I had found money. I kind of did. We spent a while in the store. I was determined to find something. I wanted whatever I found to be cute and inexpensive. I came across 2 skirts that I had to have. Each skirt was $5. I was so thrilled. Only thing was I couldn’t find any shirts to go with them. So I decided to save my win until I could find some decent shirts to go with them. I didn’t want to wear the same kind of shirts that I always wear which is a basic t-shirt. I wanted the shirts to be fun and out of my comfort zone. So I went on a hunt to find a shirt just like that. I spent weeks looking for the perfect shirt. Let me tell you The Husband is such a trooper. He went to several different stores with me. Two weekends ago my search came to an end for one of the skirts. We headed to H&M and I came across this really cute shirt that was $9.99. It had a cute design on the front and it was sleeveless. I thought it matched one of my skirts perfectly. So I went ahead and purchased it along with a dress, a romper, and some earrings. I will be sharing more about the dress I purchased at H&M in another post. I was so happy to finally able to wear my skirt. I couldn’t wait to share it with you all. Let me tell you usually when I buy skirts I tend to not do anything to flashy. That is the biggest difference besides the fact that I bought something that actually fit me. I am so happy!
