Happy Monday! Time for another Self Love Monday post. I know it’s been awhile but I really haven’t been doing many things to celebrate. So I waited until I had something. As you know The Husband and I have become big fans of bike riding. We love to get on our bikes and just ride. Often times we never really have a destination. We like to just pick a path and ride. That’s what we did this weekend. Now our previous riding record was 12 miles. We rode from our home in Stone Mountain to downtown Decatur and then caught the bus back. Our current record now is 20 miles! Can you believe it?!
Let me tell you how I wound up riding 20 miles on the bike. It was certainly an adventure & not on purpose. So it started out as a regular bike ride. The Husband and I just wanted to get out the house. We rode the Stone Mountain trail near West Ridge Avenue. I don’t remember how long the trail is but I do know it goes into Decatur. So here we go just riding. I’m listening to music and he was listening to a podcast. We are both playing on the bikes. I’m chasing him and he’s chasing me. We are seeing who could pass each other the most. Just having fun. When you pass World Outreach on 1st Avenue you should be at about 8 miles. Just riding along we see other riders passing us & some stopped in the trail to take breaks. I left my water at home but he brought 3 bottles. He shared one with me. Finally we reach downtown Decatur. He wants to go to Kroger. Doesn’t say why but I’m just riding along. We go into Kroger and he is looking for water. *Sidenote* he brought water with him so I was a little confused on why he is looking for water. We walk around Kroger & he didn’t find what he was looking for. We leave and he says I’m going to Walmart. It’s only two miles away. We ride to Walmart and it isn’t there either. He starts ranting and raving about how Walmart never has what he is looking for. I was like let’s try Sprouts. It’s only 4 minutes away by car. However it’s 15 minutes by bike. Sprouts had the water he was looking for. It’s Hint, fruit infused water. He bought 6 bottles for $0.84. I didn’t even know they made this. So here comes the part where we forget how far we’ve come. Now this store is only 15 minutes from the house by car but it’s 46 minutes by bike. Not a problem but you have to remember that we rode all the way to Downtown Decatur first. So at this moment he decided to take the shortest way home (in his mind) possible. We have to ride hwy 78 to Brockett Rd. then take Brockett back to the Stone Mountain Trail. We get off the trail onto Hambrick & then take that to Central Dr. Now we are close to home. He is tired. I’m tired. But we keep going. After we get to our street my MapMyFitness App tells me I’ve ridden 20 miles. I’m so shocked.
Now let’s talk about this water that we were on the hunt for. This isn’t a sponsored post but since the Hint water was the reason we hit 20 miles I believe I need to say whether it was worth the trip. I must say I really enjoyed this water. I think that it tastes better cold. I drank it warm first and really didn’t like it. It Is much better cold. I think you can taste the flavors more. It is really refreshing. I can definitely see myself drinking more of it. It is great on a really hot day or for long bike rides.

So you did all of that riding to only but two bottles. Seems like a waste of time if you all me. Why is he off sugar? You didn’t really explain that.
