Over the years I have really sucked at taking care of my skin. My skincare routine sucked. I do the basics like wash my face and lotion up. Okay if I’m honest I’ve even skipped those things on occasion because I’ve been in a rush. For a while I really didn’t care to take care of myself. Everything for me for a while was just really on the backburner. At times I didn’t even think I was worthy of being first. But I am making changes to put myself at the forefront. I have made great progress. Now I am improving my skin. So this Self Love Monday is praise for my skincare improvements. I recently started giving myself facials at home. I found a facial scrub that costs $1.99 and bought it. It was the store brand product. For the past week I have been consistently using it to wash my face. I noticed that I really enjoyed the way my skin felt afterwards so I have been making sure I have time to do it . It is really relaxing. I will put the scrub on and then go on about my business for about 5-10 minutes before I wipe it off. Taking those few minutes to focus on me felt great. I am so proud of myself for the changes that I have made in my life and the changes I will continue to make. They are really beginning to pay off. It’s even given me the motivation to branch out and try many of the other skincare products that are on the market. So, if I ever get bored with the products that I’m currently using, this is definitely something that I will consider looking into. For now, I am just hoping to continue doing what I am doing. I slip at times but I always come back to what’s important which is me. I am working on making myself happier. It feels so good.
