It’s Self Love Monday! Time to pat ourselves on the back for our accomplishments. No matter how big or how small they are. We must first recognize ourselves before we are recognized by others. Let’s own our wins for the week because we deserve it. A couple of weeks ago The Husband and I started something new. We started biking. We were taking walks for exercise. Then about two weekends ago The Husband was like let’s get bikes.
It has been so much fun getting healthy with my husband. It is so much easier to do when you are a team. I have been getting healthy for years. I am still doing my workouts on my own but I look forward to the weekend where I can spend time with my husband and we just walk or bike together. I enjoyed the walks as well. It has motivated me to step up my game in my workouts. I, of course, used to ride those kids bikes when I was little, but it has been a while now. The last time I rode a bike was before I had my first child and she is 18 now.
So, imagine getting on a bike after so long and you aren’t in the same shape. The first day we did like 4 miles. I was so proud of the both of us. We did about 4 laps at one park and then we went to another park and did like 3 more. That bike had muscles in my body that I didn’t even know I had hurt but I did it. I forgot how much work it takes. I love challenging myself to go up hills. I feel like such a winner when I make it to the top. Inside I do a little victory dance. The most joy I get out of it is doing it with my husband. I think the greatest benefit of bike riding besides me getting healthy is that it gives me another way to connect with my husband.
So what was one of your accomplishments this week? Please share I would love to hear about it.

That’s great I’m glad you guys are getting in shape. I don’t really have an accomplishment but if I didn’t have to pick one (gun to head) it would be to just survive the week. Where did you get this bikes from they look expensive?
