I am so proud of myself! I have yet again made it another week without going over my calories. It is getting easier each day. I start the day with 1280 calories and then earn more when I workout or just move my body. I start most mornings throughout the week with a walk on my treadmill. Sometimes I even do a workout video on YouTube. I like to find fun workouts that just motivate me to move. So as I move forward I am just trying to find ways to stay on my goal.
Since I am now focusing more on calories I am always looking for new recipes to eat. Today I decided to experiment in the kitchen. I had some left over potatoes. So I decided to throw them some shrimp, bell peppers, onions, and canned diced tomatoes in a pan together with some butter. Then I stuck them in the oven for about 40 minutes on 400 degrees. After I pulled it out of the oven I added some cheese and tried it. It was so good. The best part is that it was only 501 calories. I found this out because I scanned each item with my MyFitnessPal app. So I was super proud of myself for making such a delicious meal with so few calories.
I am excited with the direction I am going with my health. I am having fun finding exciting meals and snacks that I can still enjoy without having to feel guilty or worrying about if I am going over. I now know what I need to look for when it comes to what I eat. I am also being more conscious about my sugar intake and drinking more water. Now I still love my sweets but I am taking a mini break from them for now. I can’t wait to update you guys next week.
