I received free entry to Stone Mountain Park to review this event. All opinions are my own.
Last Friday my kids and I had the pleasure of experiencing Stone Mountain Park Christmas at Stone Mountain Park. Stone Mountain Christmas is when Stone Mountain par is decorated in more than 2 million LED lights. It offers 5 live holiday themed shows. The name of the shows are Forever Christmas, Toyrific, A Crossroads Christmas Carol, Holly Jolly Cabaret, and The Gift. Along with these shows families can also experience the new 4-D movie Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas and take a ride on the Sing-A-Long Christmas Train where Santa’s elves NEw and Holly will accompany them via satellite from Christmas headquarters on a trip down memory lane. There are also photo opportunities with Christmas favorites like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Bumble the Abominable Snow Man, Santa, Mrs. Clause, and visit the Snow Angel in her palace. My kids were so excited to experience everything. We had never experienced Stone Mountain Christmas before.
We started our visit off with a bite to eat. We ate at the Campfire Grill. The kids really enjoyed the food and I did too. We were here when we were able to take pictures with many of the characters. Unfortunately we didn’t get a picture with Bumble the Abominable Snow Man. My kids were really looking forward to taking a picture with him but we missed out.
Afte dinner we went outside to see the Christmas Parade. We all loved this part. We got to see all the characters come down the streets of Stone Mountain.
After watching the parade our first stop was to see Santa. My kids still love the big guy. Afterwards we headed to see A Crossroads Christmas Carol. We had so much fun watching this show. They kept every one laughing. We all really enjoyed it. They kept to the story and added a few things in. Tyler and Nishe’ were able to take pictures with the cast. I know one cast member played at least 3 characters. She was great!
Our next stop was to the show Toyrific. Toyrific was Tyler and Nishe’s favorite show. It was actually really funny as well. I found myself singing along because I recognized some of the songs that they were singing. I got major side eye from my kids. The actors were great.
After Toyrific we headed to my favorite show and that was to Forever Christmas. I think this was the most talented group. The whole show they were singing and dancing the entire show. One cast member was my favorite mainly because I loved her hair. At one point in the show she came out with her very curly. It looked absolutely gorgeous! Nishe’ leaned over to me and said her hair is so pretty! But she was also very talented.
We didnt’ get a chance to see Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas or ride the Sing-Along Christmas Train but we did get to see the Snow Angel fly and a great fireworks show. My kids really enjoyed this as well. We also got to eat some delicious funnel cake. All in all we had a great time.
If you want to experience Stone Mountain Christmas it is here from Nov. 8 – Jan. 4. Then on Nov. 22 – FEB. 22 on select dates Snow Mountain will be operating. Also from Nov. 22 – Jan. 4 visitors will have the opportunity to purchase combo tickets that you can either use the same day or on two separate days for $44.95 plus tax. This ticket will also include a two hour snow tubing session on snow mountain. Also Avalanche Alley is making a return groups of up to 5 can get in more tubing time as a family.
