La La Land Mommy: Stone Mountain Park Family Fun
Okay I’m a bit late posting this post. Okay I am going to be honest I am 3 weeks late on this post. A few weeks ago for Nishe’s birthday we went to Stone Mountain Park. Thank you Julie of Balancing Mama for having the contest where I won the tickets. We have never experienced the attractions before so I was thrilled when we won these tickets. I knew Tyler and Nishe’ would love it. The Husband and I decided that the perfect time to go would be Nishe’s birthday.
We started our trip at the Skyhike. We had no idea what we were in for. We all aren’t exactly fans of heights but we decided that this would be so much fun to experience. So we all went up. I was surprised that none of us chickened out. As a family we all made it up to the third level. Maybe next time we will make it higher.

Next the kiddos wanted to climb the rock wall. They love rock walls for some reason. They waited in a pretty long line. Actually they let some kids pass them because they wanted to climb together. I thought that was really sweet. They both made it to the top. I was proud of them.

After the rock wall we headed over to ride the Scenic Railroad. We got to learn a bit of the history behind Stone Mountain Park. The kids enjoyed the ride. Except for a wasp that was flying around on the train. It kept going over near them. But they did enjoy seeing the area.

We also went and saw the 4d short Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. It was fun to see. I think I need to see the actual movie so next time I can enjoy it more. I am a huge Rock fan. Tyler had me laughing cause he was trying to dodge the water spray. It was pretty fun but he actually dodged it a few times.
Now if I had to pick which one of the attractions was Tyler and Nishe’s favorite I would say it was The Great Barn. We stayed in there for at least a good 2 hours. The kids were all over the place and so was The Husband and I. They wound up engaged in some shooting battles with some of the other kids. I asked NIshe’ if she enjoyed her birthday and she said it was her best birthday ever. Tyler said that he would love to go back again. We all had a great day. We all hit the bed early that night.
