This past Thursday I had the opportunity to attend an event called “Sweet Night” at the Capitol at the Atlanta History Center. It was held at the Swan House. The event was hosted by Dixie Crystals. All of the bloggers had the opportunity to tour the Swan House. Unfortunately I didn’t take the opportunity. I really wish I had. I totally plan on going back to tour it though. I was wrapped up in mingling and meeting other bloggers and talking with the representatives of Dixie Crystals. The food was absolutely wonderful. I met so many bloggers that I had been wanting to meet for the longest such as Bernetta of Bernetta Style, Meghan of Ja Monkey, and Kendra from Headband For Today..
There was also a giveaway for three awesome Kitchenaid Mixers. Unfortunately I didn’t win one but I was thrilled for those who did.
Another great thing that we did was we learned how to make various types of sugar scrubs. I had never made them before. It was so much fun. I think I am going to try to make them again in the future. Look out for a post on how to make the scrubs that I learned to make.
At the end of the night we were sent home with some great goodies.
I had a great time. I hope to go to many more events such as this in the future. The Atlanta History Center is a great place to take your children. If they are fans of The Hunger Games like my daughter Nishe’ is they will definitely get a kick out of going here since part of the film was filmed there. She didn’t go with me to this event but I plan to go back with the family so they can see it.
