I have always loved building things. When I was a child I could always be found building with Legos. I have had some interest in building robots but never got a chance to. I immediately got excited case not only would I get a chance to build a robot but I would get to do it with my son Tyler. He said he would help me to put it together Anything that gives time with my son is worth it.
The Tenergy Odev STEM Robot is a STEM robot is a 2-in-1 robot. It’s recommended for people ages 8-99. It can be either turned into a dicycle or a tricycle. Once you build the robot you can control it from an app that you download on your phone. You can also download an app that teaches you coding. The box says that the robot is easy to put together and also that all parts are labeled. Once the robot is put together users ae suppose to be able to move, track lines, and balance itself. After reading all this robot could do I was excited to put it together. Oh and batteries aren’t included but you can head to Amazon and purchase a combo.
The robot came within a week. My son and I were excited to get started. We found out batteries weren’t included when we opened the box. So we headed to the store bought some batteries and then got to work. The description I read online is exactly what I found. The instructions were clear and simple. Everything was labeled as described. It was really easy for us to put together. With each part being labeled it really cut down on how long it took. It took us approximately an hour to put together. Mainly cause we were talking and just having a great time bonding. Also a few mistakes that we made despite the instructions. But mainly that was my fault. I really enjoyed putting it together with my son. The best part was actually seeing the results of putting it together.
I really enjoyed putting this robot together. My son had fun too. I really think this would be a great project for kids of just about any age. Even if they just observe. You could explain on their level. The\y will always love the finish product. Which is seeing the robot go.
