Becoming a mother is one of the most prized memories of life. It is something that can fill one with immense joy and happiness. And it all starts the day when the pregnancy indicator gives a positive result. Truth be told, pregnancy is an exciting time, which is often captured by the likes of a boston best maternity photographer. It is the time when a woman starts feeling the growth of a new life inside her.
But the truth is when we become moms we tend to put ourselves on the back burner. It all starts from the day our wonderful people come into the world. It goes from putting off showers to eating quick meals when we can. We put all we have into raising these little tiny people into healthy adults. Sometimes we tend to forget to care for ourselves. We get overwhelmed and try to balance it all. We forget that it is okay to think about ourselves more than we do.
I’m writing this article remind us moms that it is okay for us to take a moment for ourselves. Becoming a mom does not mean that our dreams and wants have to stop. I had to remind myself of this a few years ago. In fact I still have to remind myself of this. Sometimes my kids and husband have to remind me. I for the longest time when I got money would always feel like I had to do something for my kids. I think it was the guilt of not being the one working. I didn’t want my kids to think I did nothing so whenever I got money I would try to do something for them just so they can say mommy bought me this or that. Before I knew it I would remember I wanted something but couldn’t get it because I spent what money I had on my favorite little people. So moms remember that it is okay to think of yourself. There are actually great benefits to doing so.

I have been putting myself on the backburner for so long that I didn’t realize it until I started blogging. Now I am starting to do it more. I feel so much better about myself. I will take a few moments here or there and feel so much better. My blog allows me time to just focus on me even though I do talk about my family on my blog but I enjoy talking about them. So I encourage you to focus on yourself more as well.
