My family and I were given free admission to attend the advance screening of this movie. All opinions are my own.
My kids have been SpongeBob Squarepants for as long as I can remember. I don’t know it is something about that sponge that they love. I personally don’t get it but I think it may be because of my age. I have been known to laugh at a few episodes that they have gotten me to watch. When they saw the trailer for the latest SpongeBob movie The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water they immediately told me that they wanted to see it. So I was thrilled to be able to make their wish come true when I got an invite to an advanced screening of the movie. They were so happy.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water is about Plankton trying to get the secret formula for Mr. Krabs‘ Crabby Patties that he serves at the Krusty Krab as usual. As SpongeBob is trying to foil one of his attempts when the formula just disappears. The people of Bikini Bottom assume that SpongeBob is working with Plankton to steal the formula. In order to prove their innocence SpongeBob and Plankton team up to retrieve the formula. However they find out someone else took the formula and wind up being able to convince Mr. Krabs of this. So SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward, and Patrick team up to go to the surface and get the formula back.
I thought the movie was very cute. Even though I tried not to I found myself laughing quite a bit. Patrick is my favorite. He is so clueless but funny. I definitely had a favorite scene or two. I think that my kids loved it so much more. I would look over and see them cracking up. I asked them if they liked the movie afterwards and they said that they did. I also liked some of the music that was in the movie. I think this movie is great for kids of all ages.
Towanda Braxton and her family attended the advanced screening as well. I was so thrilled to actually get a picture with her even though my hair was kind of looking crazy. Unfortunately I didn’t find this out until after I took the picture. She was really nice.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water officially hits theaters February 6th. Go and check it out. You can also follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

I would love to take my little one to this. She saw the trailer for it when we went to see Penguins of Madagascar and her eyes lit up.

I’ll admit that when I get home from work I don’t want to get sucked into a TV show right away so I usually turn the channel to Sponge Bob. I leave it on for background noise mostly but there are some days where I’ll watch an episode or two. That is cool you & the fam got to see a sneak peek!

I get pulled in when I see my kids watching it. I’ll ask them some questions about it and before I know it I’ve watched a whole episode.
