Hi there! Yep it’s me again. Life has been pretty busy. I hit a rough patch at work but I think I now understand what they need from me. I’m now working on improving I. The areas they are telling me to work on. I’m also in training. This training is really supposed to help me go to the next level at work. I really hope it does. I’m also trying to get my health together. Nothing is wrong but I just want to be my best healthy self. I have started working out for 45 minutes to an hour. Which means I now have to get up way earlier than I used to. I’m also trying to cook healthier meals. Since making this decision I have been trying to figure out the best way to cook meals. My main plan is to cook meals that last at least two days. So if I cook on Sunday the food lasts until Wednesday. Then I’ll get up and cook on Wednesday which I don’t have to cook again until Friday. Well this past weekend I cooked all my meals on Sunday. It took forever but I did it and I think things worked out pretty well. I didn’t have to cook for myself all week. I actually liked that. So I think I’m going to keep doing that.
Now one thing that did fall by the wayside for awhile was my reading. With so much going on could hardly find the time to do it. But then I started getting upset because I wasn’t doing it. Reading is one of the things helps me relax and de-stress from my day. Plus I have a certain number of books that I want to read by the end of 2023. I’m going to keep the number to myself and reveal it at the end of the years. I mean if you follow me on Goodreads it’s possible you can see the number but I’m not sure. But I finally found some time to finish my latest book I’m reading and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.
The name of the book that I just finished reading is called The Wedding Game. The story follows Alec, a divorce lawyer who made a career of winning money for the wives of wealthy men who mistreated them is participating in an a reality show called The Wedding Game with his brother and his brother’s fiancée. His brother convinced him to do the game with him to give them a chance to improve their relationship. The story also follows Luna a crafter is competing on the show with her brother and his fiancée. She wants to help them Get the wedding of their dreams. The grand prize of the show is a penthouse. The point of the show is to complete individual challenges to earn money for their wedding. They have to do things like create flower arrangements, cakes, and everything else that is needed for a wedding. There is one more couple but they aren’t really important to the story. Things with Luna & Alec start off pretty rocky when Alec orders Luna to get him coffee thinking she is part of production from the show. However they get close when Luna helps Alec with one of the challenges after he attempts to copy her. From there their romance starts to grow. A chance meeting that they weren’t expecting pretty much blows their relationship apart. But things work out in the end. You will have to read the book to see how.
I really enjoyed this book. It was cuter than I thought it would be. It really had me cracking up at moments. I really thought Alec and Luna made a great couple. Alec is giving love another chance. He had a tough childhood and he didn’t believe in love because of it. That is until Luna comes. Luna wasn’t even thinking about love when she met Alec. I love how they came together. However I hated what broke them up. Things did workout in the end. I give this book 8 out of 10 stars. I think I would read other books by Meghan Quinn. You can pick up the wedding game anywhere books are sold. Can’t wait to share my next book with you. I’m already reading it.
