Fernbank Museum of Natural History: Fernbank’s Annual Science At Hand Day
November 9th will be Fernbank Museum of Natural History’s Annual Science at Hand Day. This is a great event for children of all ages. Visitors will be given a chance to explore and educate themselves about being a scientist. There will be a variety of science fields for scientist to explore. Visitors will also be able to actually see what it’s like to be a scientist. What is even more great about this experience is that real scientists will be there to give guests a chance to speak with them one on one. This will be thrilling for little scientists in the making or for people who just want an opportunity to interact with a real life scientists. This may inspire them to explore this as an area for their future careers where they may end up working with equipment like a professional hotplate, centrifuge, freeze dryer, which might be covered at the event. I know my little man Tyler has always been interested in all things science. There will also be opportunities to get some hands on experience with the different types of science fields. The event will be from 10a.m.-2p.m.
