Have you and your family been driving each other crazy since school has been out due to the recent winter storm? Are you just simply ready to get out and have some fun? Then why not go and check out some of these upcoming events?
February 15, 2014 will mark the opening weekend of the new Whales: Giants of the Deep exhibit at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. To celebrate the opening there will be many activities. These activities run from 10a.m. to 2p.m. They are as follows:
A Juvenile Right Whale Inflatable: Visitors will have the opportunity to take pictures beside this 22 foot replica.
Whale Origami Craft: Visitors will be able to create their own whale and color it.
Whale Coloring Stations: Various interactive stations will be set up so that visitors will be able to learn about whales through color rubbings and coloring.
Georgia Bubbleman will also be there to give interactive demonstrations of bubbles of various sizes and even bubbles inside of other bubbles.
This exhibit promises to educate everyone who visits about whales and help them leave with a better understanding of these large and beautiful creatures.
