I received a sneak peek of this episode for review purposes. All opinions expressed are my own.
Are you watching UPtv’s newest show Expecting yet? Well I have been watching for awhile. I have to tell you with each episode I love the show even more. We are getting an intimate look into the lives of these couples from their point of view. No one else’s. No camera or production crew.
Last week’s episode was bout couples Julie & Ryan and Christina & Ant. Julie & Ryan are a couple who have been married for nine years who reside in Michigan. Julie is a high school English teacher and Ryan is a youth pastor at Julie’s father’s church. They are already the proud parents of twin boys. They decided to try for one more child. But uhm yeah they got a huge surprise. They were pregnant with twins. Then they got another surprise they found out they were expecting twin girls. Their twin boys wanted brothers of course. The couple begin preparing for their family to double in size in just a few weeks. They buy their boys bunk beds and just prepare for their new additions. We even get to see them shop for the babies. They welcome to beautiful girls Everly and June into the world weeks after.
I think that Julie & Ryan’s family is so cute. The boys made a cute song talking about how big their mom’s belly is since she got pregnant. I love the bond that they have with their boys. I don’t know what I would do if I found out I was expecting my second set of twins. I would just try to figure things out.
Our second couple is Christina & Ant. They have been married for four years. Christina has a job in human resources and Ant has a full time job working on Social media but is also a professional chef. They reside in Los Angeles. When the episode opens Christina is pregnant. Unfortunately that pregnancy ends in a miscarriage. Eight months later they find out that they are pregnant again. I love this couples connection. They really seem to enjoy each other. They took a trip to Paris to watch friends of theirs get married. They also have to move. They put in 6 offers on homes. The sixth offer was the one that was accepted. They wind up having a beautiful baby girl named Leia.
I think this couple is a great couple. They championed through their miscarriage and tried again. I love how they were still adventurous. I think they were brave to take on moving weeks before the baby is born. I don’t think I’m that brave. I just love seeing these couples experiences.
