I love trying new places to eat. Especially when it is really random like it was today. This morning The Husband and I were taking Nishe’ back to school. As he went to put the address for Nishe’s school in I noticed a business called the Waffle Bar. I was intrigued so I looked the business up. Basically it’s a place where you can get waffles anyway you want them or try the ones that are on the menu. After seeing it I just had to go. So we headed that way after we dropped Nishe’ off.
The Waffle Bar is located at 1245 Glenwood Ave. here in Atlanta. It’s inside a building called Southern Feed Store. I have to admit like this place there are a few restaurants inside. I ordered banana pudding pancakes with some wings and a sweet tea. The meal cost me a little over $17. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I don’t think I got what I asked for though. There was no banana pudding on my waffle nor did I get any vanilla wafers. I didn’t realize this though until I got home. My waffle had bananas and powder sugar only. I was given whip cream on the side. But It was pretty good. I enjoyed the taste. I asked for a sweet tea but the guy who took me order said he didn’t charge me for one but he gave me one anyway and didn’t charge me. The wings weren’t the size I expected then I be. But they were good.
So my experience at the Waffle Bar wasn’t horrible but it could have been better. The service was good. But I wish I had gotten what I ordered. I think I might go back to try it again. But at the same time I’m slightly disappointed. I’m glad I tried the food though. I kind of want a do over.
