La La Land Mommy: I Want To Upgrade My Home

We have been living in our home for a little over 11 years now. When we moved in, I have always said I wanted to change some things in our home. I had all these ideas going on in my head. However, the procrastinator in me took over and I just let it go. This has been going on for a few years now. I would love to be one of those creative people and do things with my hands. My dad has been a creative person and I remember being by his side as a little girl helping him fix things.

So I want to have a little fun and upgrade certain parts of my home and fix others. But I have a problem. Where do I start? Do I do things that have needed fixing for a long time now, or do I just dismiss them and move onto something else that I know can easily be done? Imagine living without it in the warmth of the summer, and the cold of the winter? You would really struggle. I’ve included it further down too to help me remember because I know it will slip my mind like most other things. When you think about it, when it comes to upgrading your home, there are new ideas to consider all the time. One day something will seem fine, and the next, you want to change it up. I honestly think this has been my downfall, but this time, I’m really set on making a change.

Once I have sorted out most ideas, the things I can’t do will just have to wait because I am on a budget. I just want a project. I think that this will also be a great thing to do with the kids as well. I think they would love to help me improve some things in our home and be creative. I already have a mental list of things that I would want to do. I think that it will be really fun.

Here are some of the things I want to do in the home:

• I want to paint.
• Decorate mine and the kids bathroom using something like Wet room Kits
• Get rid of some of the things that we just don’t need.
• Hire an AC Repair company to make the AC more efficient.
• Fix minor things that can be fixed.
• Look into Winston Salem roofers that can repair parts of my roof.
• Get some more bookshelves for my beloved books.

There is so much more but I am going to start small at first and go from there. I hope to share some of the things I do but first I have to create a plan of action. YouTube is about to become my best friend. I can’t wait to learn how to fix some things. This year is about finding new ways to challenge myself. I definitely think that I found a challenge. I just want to show my home some love. I’m kind of scared cause I don’t do DIY work and I’m not that creative of a person but it will be fun to see what I can come up with.
