If you have been following my blog for a while now I am sure you have seen my constant struggle with sticking to exercising and eating right to lose weight. I know I need to get healthier. In fact I want to get healthier. I do not like the person that I see in the mirror right now because I know underneath the fat that I have there is this beautiful body. I also don’t want to be super skinny like I was when I was younger. If I ever get that skinny again I don’t think I could handle it. It brings back so many memories of being teased. I think my struggle is finding a happy medium and motivation. When it comes to losing weight, you have to have patience and be committed, as it does take time to see results. With this being said, I can see why some people would prefer to undergo procedures such as liposuction that professionals like Dr. Shridharani have to offer. Each to their own as they say. There are other methods of weight loss that some people find effective too. For example, one of my friends is currently trying hcg shots for weight loss. There are two key components of the HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) diet. Firstly, limiting your calorie intake to around 500 calories a day. The second component of the HCG diet involves injecting HCG. I am intrigued to hear about how my friend gets on and whether she manages to lose some weight.
The last two months of summer I started working out again. I had taken to going out for morning walks. When I couldn’t get my kids to go with me I would spend 30 minutes walking around my complex. Then I started doing my portion control and cutting down how often I eat certain foods. I have even gotten me a scale. I started feeling great. I’ve been reading articles on websites like https://swfas.org to learn about using supplements to aid weight loss so I might give them a go if I get stuck in a rut! So recently I’ve started being more consistent with using my DVD’s and my fitness apps. So far so good. Right now I am really motivated. Before I started doing this I wasn’t really seeing a change in my weight. Lets be honest I wasn’t always consistent with my walks or my portions but over the last few weeks I have been pretty consistent. My starting weight was 167 the number you see in my heading reflects that I have lost 2 pounds. I am so ecstatic to see this number. I really think seeing my weight go down on the scale is my motivation. I’m really hoping that I can stick to it. I feel that this is just the beginning for me. I would like to lose about 35 pounds. I think being around 130 is a great ideal weight for me. I can’t wait to see what I can do.
How many times have you started and stopped your weight loss journey? What finally made it stick?
